Project Plan The goal of ALMOA is to employ multiple perspectives on optimisation in order to conceive and produce the mathematical foundations, most efficient solution methods, and high-quality software for challenging problems related to applications of European and international relevance. All research projects are motivated through clearly identified pressing needs in Sustainable Energy Systems, Green Logistics, Green Data Science, and Natural Sciences. Building upon the successes of our previous Marie-Curie ITNs MINO (2012-2016) and MINOA (2018-2021), we now take a multi-perspective look and integrate several of these optimisation areas when devising methods for a given application. The key to solving these problems lies in transcending the boundaries of each mathematical optimisation area, and in harnessing the innovative potential that this creates. We aim to build bridges between different mathematical methodologies and create novel and effective algorithmic concepts. Three scientific work packages will contribute to achieving the goal: WP1 Advancements of methodologies WP2 Development of effective solution methods for applications WP3 Open data and open software The work plan is complemented by three more work packages: WP4 Training and Career Development WP5 Dissemination, outreach and exploitation WP6 Management
