Factsheet Climate change, energy transition, and digitalisation are complex challenges that require mathematical and computational solutions. However, Europe faces a shortage of researchers skilled in methods that can be applied in areas such as sustainable energy, green logistics, and data science. Supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme, the ALMOA project will train a group of doctoral candidates by combining research with industry experience. Specifically, the project will connect top academics with industry partners to develop effective mathematical tools and software, while preparing young researchers to promote sustainable innovation worldwide. ALMOA is funded under the HORIZON-MSCA-2024-DN-01-01 — MSCA Doctoral Networks callGrant Agreement ID: 101226343Full title: Advances in Large-scale, Multilevel, and Hierarchical Optimisation for Challenging Applications Starting Date: Jaunary 2026Ending Date: December 2029 Project Coordinator: University of Klagenfurt Beneficiaries:University of Klagenfurt, AustriaCNR IASI Rome, ItalyCNRS, FranceElectricité de FranceFriedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, GermanyM.A.I.O.R., ItalyCWI Amsterdam, NetherlandsTilburg University, NetherlandsTU Delft, NehterlandsTU Dortmund, GermanyHeidelberg University, GermanyUniversity of Bologna, ItalyUniversity of Cologne, Germany Associate partners:Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR), GermanyMosek ApS, DenmarkOptit Srl, ItalyDSV (Schenker AG), GermanySiemens AG, GermanyInstitut Polytechnique de Paris, FranceMines Paris — Université Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL), FranceUniversità di Pisa, ItalySapienza Università di Roma, ItalyUniversiteit Utrecht, Netherlands
